Rev. Emily E. Ewing (they/them) curates this site and the resources you'll find here. They dedicate their life to justice work locally and globally, revel in creativity and art, and are fed by Lutheran theological geekiness. They grew up in the mountains of Colorado, a member of one of six congregations that shared space in an interfaith chapel and love mountains and snow!!

Emily triple majored in Spanish, Religion, and Women's and Gender Studies at Luther College. After graduating in 2009, they participated in the ELCA's Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) program in Slovakia for a year before starting seminary at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Pastor Emily served congregations throughout the country from Kansas City and Chicago to the Utah suburbs, rural southeast Minnesota, and Des Moines. They currently live in the Des Moines metro area and their ministry consists of: Social Justice Pastor at Trinity Las Americas United Methodist Church, PRN Chaplain at a local hospital, pulpit supply and consulting for various congregations and communities, cultivating queeries, and creating the NerdsAtChurch podcast connecting the Revised Common Lectionary to all things nerdery with Rev. Kay Rohloff.
